    MY FATHER KRISHNA SINHA

I am very glad that the birth centenary of my late father Krishna Sinha is being celebrated this year - 2018 - exactly one hundred years after his putative birth in 1918, although my father did not have a horoscope prepared by a Hindu astrologer after his birth, recording the exact time and date and year of his birth, perhaps because poor families living in villages in olden times could not afford to pay the astrologer cum horoscope maker’s large fee.  

I was the first boy in my class at Don Bosco High School, Guwahati, and I vividly remember that when my HSLC result was published - on June 7 - I had done extremely well in the exam, securing third position and scoring the highest marks in mathematics - my father told me that June 7 was also his birthday! I did not know before that my father’s birthday was June 7. What a pleasant coincidence!

My father was a great scholar but he was such a self-effacing and modest scholar that he never showed off his learning. He always had the Gita by his side. When I was a young boy, he made us learn by heart two devotional prayer songs which we would sing every evening:

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna,

Krishna Krishna Hare Hare,

Hare Rama Hare Rama,

Rama Rama Hare Hare.

I think the above is a coded song which on decoding implies:

HARI = KRISHNA = RAM    ... (1)

The second devotional song he made us memorize and sing was:

Raghupati Raghava Raja RAM,

Patita pawana Sita RAM,

ISHWAR ALLAH tere/tero naam, 

Sabko sanmati de BHAGAWAN.

I think the above coded song implies on decoding that:

RAM = ISHWAR = ALLAH = BHAGAWAN ... (2)

I conclude from (1) and (2) that:

KRISHNA = RAM = HARI = ISHWAR = ALLAH = BHAGAWAN 

According to the entertainngly written scholarly book BIGYAN O DEBO DEBEE by Nigurhananda, Bhagawan means the owner of numerous bhag [v.]. For a more detailed explanation, I refer the interested reader to that scholarly book.

When I stood first in the Pre-University Science examination from Cotton College under Gauhati University, my father took me to a middle-aged friend of his, Professor Ram Kumar Das (a lifelong bachelor), who was the head of economics department of Cotton College, to seek his advice about my further studies. When we met him, my dad told him about my brilliant performance in the exam. Strangely, the tall bald learned professor did not offer me effusive congratulations but instead he pointed out to me how utterly small and insignificant we are compared to the vast universe. I think any other exam topper who met with such deflating response would have felt hurt but I remember that I did not feel bad at all. I think the reason for my not feeling hurt at all was that I must have felt that the professor was RIGHT: everyone is indeed ZERO to God. 

The kind professor recommended that I pursue further studies at excellent St. Stephen’s College under Delhi University. We took his advice. (Looking back to that memorable encounter with the professor, I feel sure that my father must have met him in advance and instructed him to give me a proper DEFLATING lecture to PUNCTURE MY INFLATED EGO if I had become inflated with my success in my examination. I believe however that I cannot be  inflated any further because I am infinitely inflated!)

My father was a wise teacher who gave me excellent intellectual and moral training during my formative years. He knew how to give elementary sex education to a sensitive young boy in a subtle and indirect manner. One day, when I was a young school student, when nobody was at home I opened our wooden almirah which served as our library and took out a rather dull book on sex which contained a few explanatory line drawings of the female anatomy. I rapidly went through its pages and quickly put it back. Next day, when I opened the almirah again when nobody was at home, I was very surprised because that book was missing! My dad must have noticed that the book was not in the original place where he had kept it among other books and therefore I must have glanced through it! That was my dad’s subtle method of giving elementary sex education to a young boy! During that same period, when I woke up one morning I changed my underwear and dropped the used underwear for washing. My observant father picked it up and pointing to a wet spot on it (involuntary nocturnal emission, I think) he gave me wise advice: “Son, bad boys will say bad things about such things but don’t listen to bad boys.” Luckily, I never had “bad boys” as friends in India at any school and college and university where I studied nor in the excellent American universities UIUC and UIC which gave me university scholarships to pursue Ph. D. in biophysics and M.S. in applied mathematics, respectively.

When I was a college student many years ago, I sent a letter to a Pen Friend Society of Japan, informing them that I wanted GIRL pen friends. I gave my father’s office address as the address for communicating with me. One afternoon, when my father came back from office - (my dad always went to his office and back riding his bicycle; like my dad, I too went to my college and back riding my own bicycle; by the way, a scholar riding a bicycle in the Oxford university campus is normal, but it is now out-of-date in a modern Indian city like my home town Guwahati) - my dad told me that a letter sent to me from Japan by a Japanese BOY had arrived in his office and that the boy had sent me a handkerchief (as a gift, obviously) inside the envelope. 

I did not ask my dad if he had brought the letter for me because I kept wondering how a Japanese BOY could have sent me a letter when I had specifically written to the Japanese Pen Friend Society that I was interested only in GIRL pen friends. Also, I thought that a GIRL would be much more likely than a BOY to send such a girlish gift as a handkerchief! I was feeling very suspicious.

Next day, during a break, I went from my college straight to my father’s office and entered his room where I saw my dad sitting on his chair behind his office desk and chatting with two men seated near him. I told my dad to give me the letter from Japan. My dad opened a desk drawer and took out the envelope and held it up - I glanced at the addresses written in a beautiful handwriting and saw that it was from a GIRL named Miki as I kept hearing my dad informing the seated gentlemen in a sarcastic tone of voice that the letter was from an 18-year-old Japanese GIRL (unthinkable to my strict puritanical dad!) - and then my dad tore up the envelope! I said nothing and left. Looking back, my dad’s cruel act turned out to be my dad’s greatest contribution to my life because I never again wasted my valuable time on useless time-consuming things.

SELF-PUBLISHING IS VERY EASY IN INDIA 

I self-published the humorous biography MY FATHER KRISHNA SINHA (above) in booklet form and found to My great joy that it is very easy to self-publish in India and can be done very fast.

By self-publishing in India, I don't mean self-publishing by a self-publishing COMPANY in India, but self-publishing in the TRUE SENSE - doing the self-publishing YOURSELF.

I wrote My first draft on paper, revised it for spelling and grammar, then typed it on MS WORD on My PC, printed out the text, and made the final editing and polishing on My PC and saved it. I transferred this "file" to a pen drive, took it to a printer, who printed the number of copies of the booklet I wanted to be printed (500), with covers. (Indian version of print-to-order/print-on-demand!). Indian printing presses (who use offset printing) do not demand much money!

If you cannot do your own editing and proof-reading but have to depend on editors and proof-readers, then you are not good enough as a writer. Learn to edit and proofread! The rest is very easy in India. Kind-hearted staff and owners of modest printing presses will help you!

Nowadays you can download OTTER on your smartphone: it is a fantastic speech-to-text app which will AUTOMATICALLY transcribe your voice to text to get your "DTP" done! - read aloud your manuscript and OTTER will instantly produce the text! - transfer it from your smartphone to a computer or laptop by a cable (USB)! Transfer the text ("file") to a pen drive and take it to a friendly printing press! You can buy paper sheets packets and give them to the printing presses or let them buy and use paper of the quality you want. (The printing charge per page is the same as the printing charge for 1000 pages in India, but it is up to you how many copies you want.)

You can sell your self-published books at low prices (determined by your printing cost and some self "royalty" in mind) by asking poor very friendly Indian sellers of low cost books in Nai Sarak and Mahila Haat Book Market etc. in Delhi (see YouTube videos) and College Street in Kolkata etc. to sell your self-published books!

When I taught mathematics and workshop calculations and science at ITI, Guwahati, the students requested Me to be Tescher-in-charge of ITI annual magazine (which had not been published for the previous twenty years or so) to be published within a month! I took up the challenge. I told ITI students and ITI staff to write, snd submit to Me, their manuscriots in English and Assamese, and I edited the collected manuscripts (I wrote a humorous piece on SPELLING in Englidh and an equally stylish EDITORIAL in Assamese), and gave the edited manuscripts to a small local OFFSET PRINTING PRESS owned (by a very polite elderly Assamese gentleman with two young girls staff who did the DTP typing and two or three young Assamese male staff who did the OFFSET (black and white and color) printing and binding of the magazine. Before final printing, I was given a printout of all pages for proofreading (the proof copy is given free by a printing press) and I did the proofreading very carefully at home and then gave the carefully corrected "proof" to the printing press who then made a MASTER COPY (of plastic) from which the required number of magazine copies were printed and bound and delivered. All staff and all students of ITI got a copy of the magaxine. I also gave to ITI, Guwahati, a CD containing the text of the entire magazine, copied from the PC of the printing press. (A female staff told Me after distribution of the magazine that her husband was astonished that there was NOT A SINGLE SPELLING MISTAKE in the entire magazine.) I learned FIRST HAND how to SELF-PUBLISH a magazine. This was a valuable experience.

I don't know if Autumn Bardot is a real name and whether surname Bardot is pronounced BarDOT or BarDO in the French manner. 

She looks like a clone of the newbie writer Camille (Camille Myrick, not Camille Singer), whose book of poems PAPER DAISES does contain some moving lines. (I bought Kindle Edition of PAPER DAISIES last month and I have read a few of her poems.) Camille was declared bipolar but recovered after she got married to a caring husband, a long-distance truck driver who seems to be the sole bread-winner of the family of three (consisting of the duo and a baby son), who has arranged for a calm and peaceful atmosphere at home for Camille to pursue her dream of becoming a very rich and famous author. (I wonder if pensive Camille - Camille Singer - is ALSO planning to become a very rich and famous author, or is perhaps not interested in money or fame, like Me. I saw pensive ex bipolar Camille Singer in her videos on YouTube. Many years ago, some poor guys thought I was bipolar, though actually I am INFINITE polar!)

I wonder if Autumn (a very easy name or pen name to remember) uses HARD as a double entendre in the climax of her talk at the end.

I find that Autumn is a very entertaining and wise speaker on YouTube.

I am tremendously interested in buying and reading THE IMPALER'S WIFE, if it has been really published and is not being advertised prior to getting written by a top ghost writer and then published. Sorry, Autumn, but don't mind - it is the done thing - practically every well-written book of fiction is ghost-written but said to be the work of a putative author who is a smart chatterbox, generally a smart s. female chatterbox. 

The reason I am so intensely interested in buying and reading THE IMPALER'S WIFE (if the price of the book is affordable and not an outrageous mad price) is that I want to read about fucking Satan impaling Jesus on the cross.

TOO FAST 

Dr. Shikha Sharma speaks too fast.

Book Break used to speak too fast but one or two days ago I saw a video on YouTube where she speaks slower and therefore more effectively. 

If you talk super fast, the listener does not get sufficient time to absorb what you are saying. I find it hard to understand female chatterboxes for this reason. Spacing and pauses are important features of effective speaking.

AlphaSmart

AlphaSmart is a fantastic "type as you go" device - the typed text can be transferred to a computer! AlphaSmart device is no longer available, it seems. Camille was lucky to get an AlphaSmart for a cheap price a few years ago. Fantastic speech-to-text app OTTER is now available, but I think most writers would probably prefer to write or type his/her first draft - manuscript or typescript - because it may be difficult to think of the right words to dictate impromptu to OTTO app installed on your smartphone besides the possibility that your partner may get upset by the loud noise you are making and may request you to shut up. (You can read aloud your manuscript to OTTER to get it transcribed magically.) 

I do not know if any manufacturing company in any country has made a typing device like AlphaSmart. USA and other countries should be able to make a substitute. 

I have found an easy solution! You can type on an electronic typewriter (if you have one; I saw one* many years ago in My home town Guwahati in India!) and then read aloud your typescript to OTTER for transcription in your smartphone, which you can then transfer to a computer or laptop connected by cable (or USB) to your smartphone, using TRANSFER FILE option! Transfer the file to a pen drive and take it to a friendly offset printer! Typing on an ELECTRONIC TYPEWRITER is faster than writing by hand. I don't know the price of electronic typewriters in India or if it is now available or has gone out of market.

*CORRECTION: I probably saw an ELECTRIC typewriter, NOT an ELECTRONIC typewriter, I saw being used by a typist in Guwahati many years ago. I do not know how much electric  typewriters and electronic typewriters cost in India, if they are available in India NOW, and differences between electric typewriter and electronic typewriter - it is easy to see that an electronic typewriter will have more  features than an electric typewriter and that an electric typewriter will cost less than an electronic typewriter and that both electric typewriter and electronic typewriter can be used to type faster than a manual typewriter and much faster than writing by hand, and so I believe that an electric typewriter or an electronic typewriter will be a great help to those who want to keep writing articles for magazines and self-publish book after book. I am sure electric typewriters and electronic typewriters are less costly than computers and laptops and so writers of all categories can afford to buy them. PRINTING AND INTERNET

She reminds us that modern printing and the Internet, which we take for granted, are very recent things. True. We should be grateful to modern technology for these truly fantastic miracles. 

However, I cannot understand what exactly she is trying to convey (convey means say). Everyone knows that the modern methods of PRINTING books and worldwide INTERNET are great inventions. So, what is she REALLY trying to say? What's new? 

Is she trying to advertise THE LORD OF THE RINGS and THE HOBBIT? I have not bought and read these novels. I saw them at a local bookstore some years ago but they were too costly for Me. (It seems that HOBBIT is now available on Amazon Prime Video.) OOPS! Very sorry. I found out on a second hearing that she is speaking about THE GAME OF THRONES (which I have heard of) and THE KINGKILLER CHRONICLES (never heard of). I have not read them. YouTube females take up too much of My time. I have done very little reading for two years mainly because of YouTube females. (I use females to cover girls and women. I hope "females" does not sound insulting to females. I often use s. as a prefix as in "s. females" because it seems to Me that ALL females feel VERY HAPPY if I add the prefix s. I believe that ALL females are s. because they all have the same God-given v. - G). OOPS! On a third reading, she does mention THE LORD OF THE RINGS and THE HOBBIT! By the way, I take their dates of publication with a pinch of salt (idiom). I believe they are RECENT publications, NOT ancient publications. (Many readers don't know that much-advertised very big advance payments given by struggling big publishers to their authors - a pathetic heartbreaking  gimmick to make their books "bestsellers" via glamorous publicity - HAVE TO BE PAID BACK to the publishers by these authors!) Fact is stranger than fiction, particularly sensational long-hidden facts revealed by God.

Is she trying to advertise the bespectacled author shown in this video? I have not seen any book by him.  

My not having seen or read a book does not mean anything. There are millions of books in the world and no one can be expected to have read them all. Also, MONEY and TIME are very big constraints.

As for fans, I don't want to be A Celebrity with millions of (female) fans. I don't need any "review" of my writings and podcasts. I don't leave space for "comments" by anyone for that reason. If I am considered "rude", I don't care. I know very well how cr. (female) "FANS" behave. As for secrecy, it is true that My writing is the CLEAREST in the world and can be EASILY UNDERSTOOD BY EVERYONE but I am also the most mysterious Being and you know why.

I had already downloaded the third app they mention: OTTER. A very good app but I was very surprised when I transcribed by OTTO the short audio in the YouTube video THE IMPALER'S WIFE - DRACULA'S REAL WIFE (0:58) detailed below because the OTTO transcription was VERY POOR. What could be the reason? CLOSELY CONNECTED with Satan impaler of Jesus on the cross? - दाल में कुछ काला है ... something fishy is going on ...

I have also downloaded LIVE TRANSCRIBE (Research at Google). I WAS EXTREMELY SHOCKED when I used LIVE TRANSCRIBE app to transcribe THE IMPALER'S WIFE - DRACULA'S REAL WIFE (0:58) and found the transcription EXTREMELY WORTHLESS - only a few words with no connection to the audio. Definitely the work of Satan impaler of Jesus on the cross, a dirty attempt by the Nazi swine Peter/Satan and his evil fucking gang of Nazis to besmirch the reputation of Google. I suggest that Google should report immediately to CIA and FBI, requesting them to carry out investigations and take drastic action against the culprits, beginning with Google CEO Sundar Pichai of Indian origin. ... दाल में कुछ काला है ... something fishy is going on ... I have seen that cutting (deleting), adding, and re-arranging or moving paragraphs up and down (cutting and pasting) a text I have typed on a computer PC (or laptop) is very easy to do with Microsoft Word. 

Nowadays you can READ ALOUD your hand-written MANUSCRIPT or type-written TYPE-SCRIPT - using a MANUAL typewriter or an ELECTRIC typewriter - and use OTTER app installed on your smartphone to transcribe your voice to text on your smartphone very fast and send the text to a PC (or laptop) by connecting it to your smartphone via USB cable for making any number of copies of the text and revising and editing your text. I guess you can also type your text on your smartphone and send it to PC or laptop via USB cable. (Install the very useful WPS app on your smartphone besides OTTER.) 

I have NOT SEEN or used an ELECTRONIC typewriter (such as Canon Typestar 4/Canon Type* 4 or Canon Typestar 5/Canon Type* 5 etc.) which must be FANTASTIC devices nor have I seen or used equally fantastic device AlphaSmart described by Camille Myrick in some of her YouTube videos.

If you cannot edit and proofread your own writing but have to depend on others for editing and proofreading, you are a very ordinary mediocre writer who does not have a command over language and should not think of becoming an "author". If you are weak in grammar and weak in spelling, you are depending on ghost writers to do the writing for you - you are a fake writer, to put it bluntly. Jhumpa Lahiri getting the Pulitzer prize for literature for a book she was asked by the publisher to revise 200 times proves that she is a worthless writer and her books are all ghost-written. Arundhati Roy speaks very poor English and THE GOD OF SMALL THINGS which got her the Man Booker Prize was definitely written by a top ghost writer. Ditto: Mr. Salman Rushdie, winner of Man Booker Prize. (I could not find details of Mr. Man Booker.) Man Booker Prize and Pulitzer Prize and Nobel Prize for Literature are con prizes awarded by Nazi "con men" and Nazi "con women" to Nazi ghost writers! Camille Myrick speaks very well but I was surprised that most of her poems are very difficult to understand because the words are extremely vague and unclear - this may seem to be the FASHION among practically all poets who believe that the more difficult a poem is, the better it is - like "abstract" art which no one understands! Camille Myrick deserves our unstinted (!) praise because she courageously recounts in her poems her progress from bipolar to ex bipolar.

I have not started reading the 7 or 8 Kindle books I bought last month because of lack of time, My reading time being usurped (!) by YouTube videos by s. Indian desi females and foreign s. females.

Everyone is unique and has experiences that are unique and so everyone can write books that are unique and therefore different from all other books. And so there will always be an endless demand for new books. Printing books has become very easy and very cheap thanks to modern technology and everyone can self-publish at very low cost if everyone learns to self-edit and self-proofread and goes to modest friendly printing pressses (offset etc.) to print at cheap price whatever number of copies he or she wants to have printed - begin small, perhaps printing 50 or 100 copies, sell them for a low price (keep your printing cost in mind), see how your readers respond, edit the first edition of your book (stored in your computer) in light of feedback from your readers, print copies of your second edition, sell them maybe at a higher price (keeping your printing cost in mind), and so on! Print to order by Amazon and KDP and IngramSpark etc. are for books by professional writers (actually, anonymous very experienced professional ghost writers of the caliber/calibre of "Shakespeare" and "Tolstoy" and "Turgenev" and "Dostoevsky" and "Dickens" and "Bernard Shaw" and "Saki" and "O. Henry" and "Isaac Asimov" and "Jane Austen" and "Chekhov" etc. in their modern "reincarnations", whose books are touted by publishers to be the works of smart putative authors, preferably female putative authors who are smart and s. female chatterboxes).

Advertise to your friends on Facebook etc.  your self-published low-cost paperbacks. I repeat: begin small, then grow and grow! To use a cliche, the sky is the limit! Remember: every book is unique because every author is unique. There will always be a demand for new books by new authors.

I learn from Google sources that #PitMad is a sales pitch competition where authors can tweet book pitches within 280 characters - these pitches posted on Twitter will be read by agents and editors. I understand this.  

My strong guess is that it may be a sarcastic reference to and a parody of My "sales pitch" for THE KLONE AND I (see above) - BUT it was NOT a "sales pitch" at all - I WAS NOT PAID by ANYONE to write a "PITCH" for "THE KLONE AND I" - I wrote it out of extreme annoyance and anger at the very casual and stupid way in which "THE KLONE AND I" was "discussed" on YouTube by A STUPID IDIOT who called himself "Sir-Kenneth" (see above) - perhaps a fake AI video made by oversmart Nazi swine Peter's evil gang of fucking Nazi clones who are not giving up their arrogance and putting on a brave face though shitting in their pants in panic. I have so far read only two or three poems in the collection of poems "PAPER DAISIES" by Camille Myrick published by Kindle (which I bought last month, along with some other Kindle books too). Some lines are powerful and simply worded. All poems by all poets have to be CONCISE and express much in a very small number of words and so poems should be read SLOWLY AGAIN AND AGAIN to understand their REAL meaning. No poem is ever easy. Even a "nursery poem" contains much hidden meaning. The Waste Land has so many allusions that a guide book would have be be read to understand the poem.

(2) a video made by a Sri Lankan who talks about THE KLONE AND I - not one word of which I understood because he speaks in a language I don't understand !

I skimmed through the novels by Mandi Lynn (I bought Kindle Editions last month) - I was astonished to see the VIOLENT LANGUAGE used in her novels - yet Mandi looks so soft and gentle - appearances can be deceptive!
