I have all of these books which I bought many years ago.
Long ago, I tried reading My sister's copy of the English translation of Legouis and Cazamian history of English literature (which was recommended for English honours courses of Indian universities) but I could not understand ANYTHING at that time because of its complex English sentences! Perhaps I will understand and enjoy reading the treatise if I read it now!

It was a long video of 20-30 minutes but I cannot locate that video now although I find other YouTube videos by BeerBiceps (who has recovered from a life of failure in education and addiction to alcohol). I DON'T WANT to learn to cook because frankly I regard cooking as beneath My dignity (Me being A Great Scholar) and a waste of My valuable time, plus there is the BIG RISK that I might be requested by My innocent-looking "dharmpatnee" - I have no "adharmpatnees" - to cook again and again because she has a headache (imaginary) or because she has a fever (imaginary). Nearby small "hotels" can be a big help in case My consort is not well (i.e. not in the mood to cook). I would rather go hungry than learn to cook. In the afternoon I was watching YouTube videos on My mi smart TV, seated on My chair. Also, I have just discovered to My great joy that the text of the story THE ISLAND OF DR MOREAU by H.G. Wells is available free on project Gutenberg - go to Google and type project Gutenberg and the name of the book and the text appears at once! (I thought of "downloading" free project Gutenberg app from Play Store but failed - naturally, I think; you can easily get it from Google as I have explained.)
I plan to watch the film again after I have listened to the LibriVox audio recording and have read the project Gutenberg text.

"Farming Engineer" indulges in sensationalism and does not give convincing evidence of proper solid research data and indeed confesses that he does not know the secret formulas of tasty food products such as Lays chips, Maggi noodles, and KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken). This very interesting but glib and shallow video seems to have been secretly sponsored by rival companies to make people stop buying these very tasty food products. Tasty food products are called "junk food" by spoilsports who will cite a ton of baseless phoney "research" to try to prevent you from enjoying food you like! What killjoys!
Uncle Chips and Lays Chips are among the tastiest food products I have tasted. Maggi noodles are a blessing to moms who want to feed starving children (who are very fond of Maggi noodles, thank God) with the least amount of effort. I think all housewives are or should be grateful to Maggi noodles, a wonderful short-cut. (I am not being sarcastic.) I find however that LOCAL noodles, when prepared with onion etc. with proper care and attention (not the usual thing) by My consort, can be much more tasty than ready-made Maggi. But this is once in a blue moon.

I remember that many years ago as I was going by plane to America to do research on aging and death as a Ph.D. student at UIUC, USA, working under Dr. Howard S. GHOSTS
Some years ago, an Assamese woman in Soalkuchi in Assam (an Indian state; I too live in Assam, in the state's capital city Guwahati) got mysterious scratches on her body; cooked rice disappeared from her kitchen utensil; the blanket on the bed caught fire; these weird happenings were regarded as the work of ghosts and village "ojhas" or medicine-men tried to drive away "ghosts" from her body but failed to stop the occurrence of strange scratches on her arms etc. and she was then taken to a psychiatrist in Guwahati who declared her to be suffering from "hysteria" and the poor woman was also taken to Apollo Hospital for "psychiatric treatment". I pointed out in My Blogger blog posts at that time that all of these strange occurrences must have been due to the action of invisible burning LASER sent from far away.
"Ghostly" things have also happened in Guwahati and reported by Assamese TV news channels:
A lonely Assamese woman noticed that paper currency notes (paper money) she had kept inside a carefully locked trunk were missing! Burned by invisible LASER, definitely.
A scared family living in Guwahati saw in panic their TV set and their wooden rack for clothes floating in the room! A weird ghostly scene! Actually, metal and wood can be attracted and moved about from afar by a strong magnet/magnetic field. (Light and LASER are electro-magnetic waves.)

DON'T TRUST ANYONE

My "mother" (now "late" and "reborn" as a new "reincarnation" of younger age) filed a will case claiming that My "late" "dad" Krishna had stated in his "will" that he wanted his property (not much) to go to her but this was a LIE because My "dad" had given the building I reside in as a gift to Me (My octogenarian "dad" had given his thumb impression on the Deed of Gift in front of a Magistrate in the D.C. office and My "mother" had signed the Deed of Gift as one of the witnesses!) - a copy of the "will" had not been given to Me, so I asked the Judge for a photocopy of the "will" - when I got the photocopy a month later, I found, as I expected, that it waa A FAKE WILL. I wrote to the Judge to tell him that I was shocked that My "mother" had sunk so low, and I also informed the President/President's Secretariat and the Prime Minister/Prime Minister's Office (PMO). This case was then pursued FAST TRACK. An intelligent DSP officer from CID office, Mr. Chakraborty চক্রবর্ত্তী, met Me at My residence and showed Me the forwarded copy of the letter I had sent to New Delhi and told Me in Bengali: "দাদা* Dada [Big Brother], বুড়িটা ত জেলে যাবে - your old mother will have to go to jail (for 7-8 years) FOR FORGERY - but, দাদা, Your mother will come back to You ultimately, after all." The FALSE CASE was dropped in a hurry by My "mother". To strengthen her case, the f. BITCH had referred to Me in her legal petition as having been born "out of wedlock"! Nazi bitch!

DIVORCE
My consort does not show any interest in reading books and magazines but is very fond of watching MELODRAMATIC Indian movies and TV serials, unlike Me. A man or woman is known by the company he or she keeps!
The first dramatic incident in which I saw her take part occurred on the very day of our (arranged) marriage as were getting into a car to return to our house after the formal marriage ceremony: she suddenly fainted; everyone started shouting "Bring water! Bring water!" A bucket of water quickly appeared and water was poured on her head - and she quickly regained consciousness! (A highly dramatic scene to convey the message to her onlooking parents and her four younger bros. - she has no sister, younger or older, thank God - that they would always be uppermost in her mind, never mind the break caused by her marriage!) It now seems to Me that she may be a top Na. ass. who was cleverly brought to ostensibly act as My consort whereas the secret intention of the Na. gang was to make her ass. Me if need be.
One early morning at about 7 a.m. many years ago, My consort suddenly phoned one of her bros. (an unemployed youth who usually got up at around 10 a.m.), telling her confused groggy bro. to bring a lawyer at once because she wanted to get a divorce! (My brother-in-law told Me afterwards that he thought that Me and My "mom" had planned to give his didi no share of property - how ridiculous! - he was in a very confused state, of course, having been forced to wake up from his deep sleep! I took the phone away from My cr. consort and told My brother-in-law NOT to listen to her cr. didi (elder sister) but the fellow started SCREAMING and WARNING Me not to dare harm his didi. How crazy! I cut off the phone call. My cr. hypertheatrical consort then phoned her mom: "Ma, get a lawyer at once! I want to get a divorce!" My gentle mother-in-law (now late), who had read only up to class 5 or 6 in the village school because she got married early and was therefore weak in English, replied softly to her daughter: "Ma [an affectionate word used by a mom for her daughter], what is the meaning of DIVORCE?!!"

PATHETIC HUMAN LEVEL
For a VERY SHORT period of time many years ago, I deliberately descended to the pitiable level of pathetic humans to experience what FOOLISH humans call "falling head over heels in love" - which describes a crazy body posture matching crazy "romance". The foolish lover's brain thinks restlessly day and night about the lover, and because of the restless brain cannot fall asleep quickly but remains awake in bed for a long time. I realized first-hand why lovers are said to spend sleepless nights. The sad possibility of not having s. with the "beloved" in this life makes the mind anxious. Also, the irrational feeling occurs, why should the lover have s. with another? And also the feeling: the lover should STOP having s. with another. SLEEP
I sometimes fall asleep seated on a chair as I am watching and listening to the trite monotonous continuous chatter of some self-important chatterbox on YouTube whose chatter acts like a lullaby lulling One to sleep, when I don't switch off the Internet to stop the video midway, out of a sense of courtesy and My desire not to cause hurt if it can be found out by using some kind of app that I did not watch the complete video! My falling asleep while watching YouTube happens particularly when I did not have enough sleep at night as for example I went to sleep last night after midnight and got up too early this morning viz. 5 a.m. - less than 5 hours of sleep - the short amount of sleep was not however due to My having "fallen head over heels" in extra-marital love with any extra-marital s. female in some secret extra-marital relationship - it seems that "relationship" is a very popular current buzzword! (I have never been in real or imaginary "relationship" with any extra-marital s. female. - G). Guide books for all subjects are a MUST for ANY class and ANY exam even if you are NOT told by teachers and professors to buy excellent guide books (such as Arihant and Oswaal guide books) which are prepared by experts but derisively called "bazar notes" by those who are not aware of the value of good guide books.
I bought GATE guide books on maths and computer science out of curiosity. India is flooded with excellent low-cost guide books on all subjects for all levels from elementary level to university level and for all competitive exams - NEET, IIT JEE, TET, CTET, TOEFL, GMAT, GRE etc. etc. Excellent low-cost Schaum's Outlines are available in Indian reprints by TMH (Tata McGraw-Hill), New Delhi. I have about 30 or more Schaum's Outlines - published by McGraw-Hill and reprinted by TMH.
YouTube has numerous tutorial videos on all subjects at all levels.
Of course, online coaching by experts in the field may have special value. India is very advanced in online teaching thanks to easy availability of the Internet and a wide range of smartphones etc. to suit every pocket and a smart band of Net-savvy online teachers. (I bought a cute LAVA 4G smartphone for only about Rs. 3500, which is very good despite its low price. My consort told Me a few days ago that she saw a LAVA 4G for only Rs. 1500 displayed in a local shop, and I felt like buying it at once, though superfluous. I already have other excellent products - Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, iBall tablet, Acer laptop, assembled PC. And I have an LG LED TV and a mi smart TV to watch YouTube on big TV screens. I don't waste money on useless things - I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't take drugs, I don't gamble, I don't have "girlfriends", I don't run after s. gals, I don't visit pr. - G)

I fell asleep (for just a few minutes) while watching this video and when I opened My eyes I saw her asking her audience "Am I boring you?" and I have nearly reached the end of her sales pitch and I heard her say again two or three times "Am I boring you?" - if I can fall asleep even if for just a few minutes, anyone else who is not interested in English or English literature or does not want to appear for the very tough UGC NET or JRF or GATE will fall asleep at once! (An ex female colleague who has a Ph.D. in chemistry ambitiously took the NET exam but flunked the exam, so I know NET etc. must be very tough and require serious and thorough study). She might sound boring to lay listeners but I get the strong impression that Dr. Kalyani Vallath is a serious and dedicated scholar who is thoroughly equipped to teach UGC NET aspirants etc. how to prepare well. Dr. Kalyani Vallah had a consistently brilliant academic career and has written scholarly books on English literature and attended a prestigious seminar at Oxford University. She is very learned and she has thoroughly studied and prepared solutions to previous UGC NET questions for over 20 years. She was also connected with Udemy before joining UNACADEMY recently, in August. (I used to think that UNACADEMY teaches online courses to students of Class 11 and Class 12 and the female teachers have a flippant non-serious childish personality like Garima Goel, but Dr. Kalyani Vallah has corrected my previous impression. Yes, she does seem a bit cr. - like all females -because I heard her saying to a female in the online audience who probably told her she was cute: "I was born cute. I can't help it.")
I had the impression that UNACADEMY and other online courses like BYJUS etc. cost lakhs of rupees and therfore are only for students of rich families with lots of money (white or black) but Dr. Kalyani says she offers various UNACADEMY courses of duration from one month to eight months with 20% discount, her one month crash course costing Rs. 2000, which is very reasonable, I think.
Dr. Lakshmi S might also perhaps be a good online teacher of English literature but I am not sure if she could teach the very tough UGC NET English syllabus which requires a lot of rote memorization - called रट्टा मारना in popular parlance.
Reading Google sources about Dr. Kalyani Vallath, I found that while some students say that the best coach for NET English is Dr. Kalyani Vallath, others disagree and say that Arpita Karwa is the best! Both seem to Me to have brains crammed with vast amounts of parrot-like information on literature suitable for very tough UGC NET exams!
Very nice summaries of famous works of English literature are given and explained and interesting multiple choice questions (MCQ) are given (with their answers) by an Indian female English teacher in her YouTube channel "Just Begin Literature". It is obvious that she puts in a lot of hard work to create her excellent notes.
I wanted to prove that I am not interested in romantic stuff alone but am interested also in very dull exam-oriented stuff, too. I think I have succeeded.
Indian teachers and Indian books use easy and simple English which Indian students can easily understand.

LG vs mi
I have had hotspot connection problems with My mi smart TV from time to time and yesterday it was very bad. So I exchanged mi smart TV with LG ("Life is Good" motto) LED TV that My consort has been using to watch TV (not YouTube), because YouTube can be watched on LG LED TV if connected to local acc (SITI) cable-TV HD set top box - casting of YouTube videos (seeing them magnified to a large size on the screen of My LG LED TV connected to a smartphone by hotspot) is done by getting YouTube on TV screen and going to Setting on the left bottom of the YouTube screen and moving to TV code number and typing that number in the space provided on the smartphone YouTube screen after clicking the CAST symbol at the top of the YouTube screen on the connected 4G smartphone.
LG LED TV is compatible with Nokia and LAVA smartphones but does not seem to be compatible with Motorola smartphone. I wonder why. That is one snag. My iBall tablet is compatible with Motorola - that is, My iBall SLIDE model (sounds like risque double entendre) can be connected to My Motorola smartphone via hotspot WiFi.
The word hotspot reminds me (by the law of association of ideas taught in books on psychology) of G-spot, which may be real or non-existent, I think.

A mispronunciation is jarring to the trained ear. Before recording any English passage in My own voice for Anchor fm podcasts, I try to check the pronunciations of English words in the passage I am not sure how to pronounce (and even words I have been very sure how to pronounce correctly) by consulting My dictionaries and Google and YouTube. This takes up a lot of time and so I find it a very frustrating experience and I DON'T FEEL LIKE RECORDING any English passages (recording in Bengali, Assamese and Hindi is MUCH EASIER because these languages have phonetic spellings) but I realise that I AM GOING PUBLIC and therefore I had better check My pronunciation if I publish at all. There are several YouTube videos on how to prepare for UGC NET ENGLISH by self-study. (Of course, the excitement and the enthusiasm conveyed by the spoken words of experienced ONLINE teachers would be missing. - G)
But I would urge you not to believe young Indian female chatterboxes who say they are toppers (ranks are often manipulated in this corrupt world) who read dozens and dozens of books for the UGC NET/JRF English. (Part 1 of UGC NET/JRF English contains questions on mathematics (!) and "environmental science" etc. Gosh! I have found that most female students are very scared of maths and very weak in math! It seems to Me that Part 2 seevery much like a General Knowledge GK paper depending entirely on mechanical rote memorization or mugging up or रट्टा मारना in Hindi - many inexpensive interesting books on memory training are available in India which can be helpful. I have interesting memory training books including books by memory expert Harry Lorayne.)
The easiest and least expensive method is to buy excellent inexpensive guide books. I did very well on My TOEFL and GRE exams by studying inexpensive Indian reprints of excellent TOEFL and GRE guide books.
It seems to Me that Part 1 of the UGC NET English exam contains objective questions aka MCQ (Multiple choice Questions) that are like CTET questions. I purchased some excellent CTET guide books in English and Hindi for about Rs. 500 each and gave the books to a very ambitious graduate female CTET aspirant out of compassion for the poor and weak and downtrodden but My money went down the drain coz she had to do a 12-hour private daily job from 8 AM to 8 PM and could not devote sufficient time to prepare for her CTET. Exams should be taken VERY SERIOUSLY and not lightly and casually. TWO important lessons I learned: (1) Don't WASTE Your hard-earned money to try to HELP worthless insincere beings who might prefer to make and sell po. s. videos as the preferred get-rich-quick method rather than study very hard. (2) Excellent inexpensive CTET guides are available!
I found from Google as I was typing this post that inexpensive UGC-NET English guide books are sold online by Flipkart, Amazon.in, Toppersnotes (somewhat expensive but less costly than online coaching classes), and Snapdeal. I am sure there are many more NTA UGC-NET English guide books on the market (on the market or in the market? - what on earth is NTA?*).

I suggest that Mandi should lower the price of all her books of fiction, which are available from Flipkart and Amazon, yes, but are all too costly at present. If she makes the prices of all her fiction books affordable, I might buy all of them from Amazon and Flipkart! I am A Bibliomaniac! All her books of fiction certainly sound very interesting - and mysterious - to Me. Why TUTOR but not TUTION (tuition)? Why GRAMMAR but not GRAMMER?
Why is PUT pronounced poot but BUT is pronounced বাট্ बाट् but not boot? How is VENETIAN (e.g. Venetian politician dad of Desdemona and unwilling dad-in-law of black Moore Othello) pronounced? - is it ভেনিটিয়ান भेनिटियान or is it ভেনিশিয়ান भेनिशियान?
I am used to pronounciation ভেনিশিয়ান भेनिशियान but doubted it when I heard it pronounced ভেনিটিয়ান भेनिटियान by a gal on YouTube. So I checked a dictionary (does One say check or check WITH the dictionary? - English idioms and phrases can be bloody confusing - so I checked Google). Luckily for Me, My "late" dead "dad" and My "late" dead dad-in-law were NOT Venetian guys BUT Indian - which is EASY to pronounce - not CONFUSING like Venetian.

As far as I know, consumption can mean consumption of food, and can also mean TB. So it seems more probable to Me that the death of Charlotte Bronte's 2 sisters Maria and Elizabeth due to consumption means that their death was caused by the tubercle bacillus (TB) - viz. tuberculosis [which can now be cured by antibiotics] rather than by too much consumption of food or by food poisoning. (The English language has very strange words which can have very strange and hard to guess meanings.)

STRANGE MEANING OF DYING

I have not listened to the complete long lecture but have skipped parts of it and heard parts (leaving for later My listening to the entire talk) - but I just heard a very interesting piece of information given by the lady lecturer (Professor Marjorie): the word DIE can also mean "to have sex, to have sexual consummation", as was used by poet John Donne in "his" love poem/poems, and by "Shakespeare" in OTHELLO (nearly at the end of the play?) to suggest that Othello finally had sex with Desdemona - was it before or after her death? - if the latter, it would be a case of necrophilia. I used to think that dying to have something does not mean LITERALLY DYING to have something but actually means wanting very strongly to have something, such as "dying" to have s., but now it is suddenly clear to Me that "dying to have s. w. H." could really mean having (virtual) s. w. H. repeatedly again and again to simulate real actual s. w. H. and does not mean dying and requesting H. to become A Necrophiliac Vampire.
Skin color can be changed. No big deal. Not a big issue. Satanic device to create false racial superiority of white Nazis.
As an illustrative example, Nazis could have made the skin of anyone, such as Othello, "black" or "white" or "brown" or maybe even blue or green or yellow or red or any other color, like chameleons do, I have heard.

Some females are strongly interested in the moral and ethical dilemma: Should a female have extra-marital sex to "save" her husband, or commit adultery "to get the world for her husband" [and for other good pretexts for s. females to cheat on their husbands]? I feel like shedding My heart-felt Crocodile tears.
I am not suggesting that I think that only the faculty of the English departments of Oxford and Harvard are OK and that the faculty of all other British and American universities are not so OK. Actually, the faculty of ALL American universities are equally good, as I learned from a book on admission to U.S. universities I bought and read many years ago before applying for admission to U.S. universities. (I got a university Ph.D. scholarship from UIUC dept. of physiology and biophysics, and a/an M.S. scholarship from UIC dept. of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. I am not showing off. I never show off because I have no need to show off. Know what I mean? - G). This must be true because the teaching faculty of U.S. universities keep shifting from one U.S. university to another, which means they must all be excellent. Similarly, the faculty of all universities of UK must be equally good for the same reasons. All university faculty of all universities of UK and USA are dedicated scholars. As just one example, Professor Paul Cantor of the University of Virginia, who speaks with an amused smile throughout his lecture - "Othello (1 of 3) ** (1:22:54) / Shakespeare and Politics" (YouTube) - must be as dedicated and scholarly as Professor Marjorie mentioned above... This is not a balancing pep talk but the genuine truth. I am A Dedicated Scholar Myself and so I can easily sense other dedicated scholars. Many years ago, a young Assamese boy - he was a grandson of late "communist" MLA Gauri Shankar Bhattacharya, with whom My "late" "dad" (not dead) Krishna (!) was acquainted in their college days - who had come back home to Guwahati after taking his class 12 final exam in an Indian military school (in Dehradun, if I remember right), came to Me for a very short revision of calculus for one or two months because he wanted to take the all India NDA (National Defence Academy) exam. The boy must have been a hard-working student, but I sometimes wonder if his first rank in NDA was a kind act by Indian Army to show Me their affection and brotherhood in an indirect manner.)
