About two or three years ago, I saw a complete Assamese translation of WAR AND PEACE in a little bookshop opposite Big Bazaar on Rajgarh Road in Guwahati; its price was about 500 rupees; I regret I did not buy it then; anyway, I can ask the helpful Assamese bookseller of that tiny wayside bookshop to get a copy for Me, or I can search for the book in the many friendly bookshops in Panbazar, Guwahati (which is My home town, by the way).

BOOK REVIEW

War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy - book review (11:48)/Malinka Reads (YouTube)

Charming. (I wonder if Malinka has read this fat novel completely. Frankly, I have not.) She shows an English translation by Louise Maude. I have an abridged edition (published by Washington Square Press / Pocket Books) of the English translation by Louise and Aylmer Maude. (I wonder if these are real names or fake names/pen names.) Malinka, probably a Russian girl, says she doesn't like any of the female characters in Tolstoy's WAR AND PEACE. She says she got so scared of the step-by-step description by Leo Tolstoy of the hunting of a she-wolf who got killed that she dropped reading the novel for some days before she picked up the fat novel again to read.

DD keeps on giving 420 advertisements. Huge amounts of public money - crores and crores of rupees of public money - are WASTED on misleading and useless ads that are of no use to India's citizens but go to private pockets. Thank God the insulting ad on "शौचालय" - so insulting to women of Indian villages - has stopped.

FOOLING THE GULLIBLE

As I kept listening to this fluent "black" preacher*, I kept on thinking about how Satan/Peter/John and his Nazi clones keep changing their racial features and their skin color to fool the gullible. (Same voice as Peter's voice.) There is no proof that God spoke anything mentioned in the Bible, unless by "God" is meant Satan / Peter / Hitler etc. The "black" preacher looks like a clone of "black" Nazi Barack Hussein Obama, who doesn't hesitate to insult black Americans by publicly calling them "NIGGERS" on TV. (Racial features and skin color etc. are changeable, a big Nazi secret for billions of years - but the game is up.)
