I have often wondered how some authors can write so many books so fast. How do these authors type so incredibly fast? If you write by hand, you can write 15 to 20 words per minute; if you can type fast, you could type about 40 words a minute; but superfast authors seem able to type much faster, at superfast speeds. 

What is the solution to the mystery? 

(1) One possibility is to learn shorthand and write in shorthand (which is a form of fast writing), and the text in the author's shorthand is then transcribed and typed (on a laptop/computer) by a stenographer, the text "file" is then stored in a pen drive, which is then given to a printer. 

(2) Another possibility is to record the "first draft" in one's own voice, and the recorded audio is transcribed and typed by a stenographer on a laptop/PC, and the text file is stored in a pen drive, which is then given to the printer for printing. 

(3) Finally, the most fantastic invention is software which can automatically change  audio text to printed text! WOW! Fantastic!

MOUNTAIN STANDARD TIME (MST)

When I heard the cr. newbie authortube girl Natalia Leigh on YouTube speaking about chatting or chattering away for one hour with other cr. "newbie" authortube girls from 9.30 a.m. Mountain Standard Time on July 19, 2020 (today - or tonight IST!), I wondered what time it would then be in India. (There are four time zones in America, I think.) I learned from Google that the difference between Mountain Standard Time (MST) and Indian Standard Time (IST) is 11 hours 30 minutes - so I calculated that:

'We need to rethink our strategy,' said Saini, sipping the hot chai gratefully. They were holed up inside a small room of a run-down hotel in Porbandar - the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. It was coincidental that Porbandar had also been the final home of Krishna's childhood friend - Sudama.

Back at the hotel, Priya had phoned Sanjay Ratnani. 'Dad? I need some help... ' she began. In a small control room in New Delhi, a flashing icon on a computer terminal indicated to the monitoring agent that a conversation worth listening to waa in progress. Sanjay Ratnani was receiving a call on his mobile from a prepaid number that was unknown. The conversation was silently recorded on the hard disk of the computer while triangulation of locations began.

While Priya was talking to her father, Saini took out the silver bracelet that he had stolen from the murder scene and looked at it in the palm of his hand. He scanned each letter and satisfied himself. Yes, it did spell the name Taarak Vakil. But who was Taarak Vakil? And if he were the killer of both Anil Varshney and Nikhil Bhojaraj, what was he after? He absentmindedly wrote down the name on a piece of paper and began to jumble the letters. Saini's face turned white with fear when he saw the letters rearranged.

When jumbled up, the letters contained in the name Taarak Vakil now spelt out a name that every theologian in India would be familiar with. Kalki avatar - the tenth incarnation of Vishnu.

He gestured to Priya to end the conversation with her father quickly. As she hung up, he showed her the word jumble. Priya's face, too, drained of colour as soon as she saw it.

'But what is the connection between our murderer and the Kalki avatar?' asked Priya.

'Isn't it obvious? Our killer is someone who believes that he is the Kalki avatar! The murders are somehow connected to that belief!' declared Saini as Priya continued to silently wonder about possible next steps. (p. 97)

'Cloning? I don't recall any mention of it in our epics?' asked Radhika.

'Think carefully. When Lord Rama fought with Ravana, was he fighting one demon with ten heads or was he actually fighting ten people who had been genetically cloned from Ravana?' asked Chhedi. (p. 189)

'You do understand what Raktabija means, don't you?...'

Radhika was reeling from the onslaught of information.

'Our mythology tells us that Brahma took birth from the umbilicus of Vishnu. Was this just imagination or was it indicative of the fact that Vedic people knew of the presence and significance of stem cells in the umbilical cord?' asked Chhedi.

Greeted by silence, Chhedi asked, 'We know that Krishna's elder brother - Balarama - was transferred from Devaki's womb to that of Rohini. How would that have been possible without knowledge of in vitro fertilisation? (p. 190)

Unknown to Radhika and non-academics, Chhedi had written a paper in which he had referenced the Vishnu Purana. It also said that Hari in the form of Brahma was the instrumental cause of creation. (p. 191)

'So the Jats and Rajputs were essentially the same people - descendants of Krishna's Yadava clans?' asked Priya.

'Absolutely,' replied Sir Khan. [Sir Khan sounds like Shahrukh Khan. - G]

'But how can you be a Rajput with a name like Sir Khan?' asked Priya.

Sir Khan laughed. 'That was just a title given to me by Rahim when I landed in Mumbai. My real name was Kanha - another name for Krishna,' he explained. 'Do you see this pendant that I wear around my neck?' Sir Khan took off the gold pendant that Dada Rahim had presented him with many years ago and handed it over to Priya. Priya examined it curiously. 

It was an ordinary gold pendant on which the words 'Sir Khan' were engraved in gothic font. [See picture on p. 379. - G] 'I know you are called Sir Khan [sounds like Shahrukh Khan! - G] and that you wear a pendant which bears that name. So what?' asked Priya blandly. 

'Just rotate the pendant you have in your hand a hundred and eighty degrees so that the letters are upside down,' instructed Sir Khan. Priya did as she was asked - and gasped at the result.

Sadly, no grace of that garbhagriha remains. We know that this layout is in the shape of a cross so the best guess should be the centre of the cross.'

Priya gasped as they reached the centre of the temple. Right at the spot where the idol would have once stood, was a three-foot-wide crater - a pit large enough for two people to descend into. [Compare the Kamakhya temple and other temples. - G]

'Om Shri Prithvi Rakshasaaya Namah,' chanted Garg as he shovelled the first scoop of earth down below.

'Hey!' shouted Priya angrily. 'We can make a deal. I think I know where the stone is. Just listen to...'

'The time for deals is over, Mataji,' he yelled. 'Om Shri Maangalya Daayakaaya [John জন...মঙ্গল (Mars) দায়ক (cf. দ্বারকা Dwaraka)] Namah,' recited Garg, as he shovelled another mound of earth from above.

Priya spat out earth that had fallen into her mouth. 'I may have left you captive but I didn't kill you,' she argued.

'So we're even,' yelled Garg. 'When you were a little girl, I could have arrested you and sent you to a remand home for the murder of your Sarla Auntie's husband, but I didn't. Om Shri Maangalya Daayakaaya Namah,' he chanted as he shovelled even more earth into the pit.

Deep within the recesses of the hellhole, Mataji and Taarak sat down on the floor and began to recite the names of the Lord. They knew their time had come. (p. 404)

'How exactly would a pyramid breathe life into death?' asked Radhika. (p...)

In the administration office sat CBI Special Director Garg, watching and hearing the events unfold on his video monitor. Next to him sat Mr Rajendra Raval, the manager of the safe deposit box rentals company. Both of them sat without the slightest movement, because their hands were bound behind their backs and their lips were sealed shut with duct tape. Behind both of them stood Priya holding .44 Magnum revolver taken from Garg's own holster. 

Taarak, dressed in expensive casuals, was a change from his persona as a driver. Saini softly said, 'There's nothing here that's worth losing life over. Tell us what you want. We don't need to fight for it.

Saini's voice seemed to have a calming effect on Taara. 'The ceramic baseplate is all I want. Hand it over and no one will be harmed,' he said equally softly. Saini picked up the ceramic plate and slowly extended it towards Taarak, who took it from Saini gently. It was almost as though the scene was being played out, frame by frame, in slow motion. 

Taarak placed the ceramic plate in his belt pack while keeping his eyes trained on Radhika and Saini. Within a minute, another figure appeared at the door to the vault room. It was Priya. 'How nice to see both of you once again,' she commented caustically, pointing her Magnum at Radhika while Taarak kept his gun trained on Saini.

'If both of you would be so kind, please stand facing the wall,' Priya requested with mock courtesy. Saini and Radhika were in no condition to argue and did as they were told. Taarak quickly walked up to them and patted them down.

'You may now turn around,' instructed Priya. 'Thank you for cooperating... Professor Ravi Mohan Saini,you have always occupied a special place in my heart. That's why I could not allow my dear boy Taarak to do this on his own. Heaven forbid, we cannot treat you on par with the rest!' 

Turning to Radhika, she said, 'You have my heart-felt apologies, Inspector. I am aware of the story about your husband's sad demise and the fact that you had to see him die. I daresay you may have developed some protective feelings towards Professor Saini over the past few days, especially after the intimate moments that you spent together in the Saptarishi Cave. It is therefore with immense sadness that I must make you sit here and watch him die!'

There was a flash of terror in Radhika's eyes as she saw the gleaming scalpel emerge from Taarak's belt bag. (p. 390-391)

WHY JEALOUSY OCCURS 

When two females want the same guy but he is compelled to choose only ONE of the two females, it is natural for the two rival females who are BOTH competing for his attention to feel anxious of LOSS and the competing females are then said to feel "jealous". I consider all newbie American girls LUCKY - newbie American girl writers probably don't know that Alibris and Better World Books, the world's most fantastic online sellers of used books who have millions of used books in stock, are both located in America. The English idiom "to cast pearls before swine" comes to mind but in this case the idiom obviously does NOT apply and should be replaced by "to store millions of used books for all struggling newbies".

** Camille feels very excited getting so many books from the thrift store for just 50 cents each (I think)!
