For the last two or three days, I have been constantly hearing cr. newbie authortube girls on YouTube talking endlessly about arcs. I had no idea what "arc" could mean. Now I know, after watching:

I learn from her video that an ARC is an advanced reader's copy given free to an unbiased reviewer for unbiased review of the book, and that the unbiased reviewer may or may not send the unbiased review to the author or publisher who sent the free copy of the book for unbiased review. I wish to make it clear that I have never received a free reader's copy from ANY author or publisher for My review which is of course always 100% unbiased. I always write about books I have bought and have kept in My richly-stocked personal library of about 3000 books of fiction and non-fiction including dictionaries and science encyclopedia and the Bible and the works of Shakespeare etc. etc. I have recently recorded and Anchor-podcast interesting excerpts from cecelia ahern: THE YEAR I MET YOU which I BOUGHT from a local bookstore a few years ago. It is NOT a advanced reader's copy given to Me free for My unbiased review. I am surprised that there is not a single review of the book on YouTube. No one seems to have found a copy of the novel anywhere. Even the publisher seems to have NO COPY of the book. How can this strange state of affairs be explained? There is only one solution to the mystery: the poor highly talented author printed ONLY ONE COPY and had it placed in a local bookstore in the hope that I would buy and read it and hopefully post a nice review on My blog if I liked it. WOW! The same thing seems to have happened with Robert Ludlum and Patrick Larkin: THE LAZARUS AGENDA, from which I quoted interesting excerpts in My recent blog posts! (I borrowed the thriller from a well-read cousin brother to whom I also lend My books. I did not write a review. I only quoted excerpts from the thriller.) No one on YouTube seems to have SEEN the thriller. No one knows the identity of the mysterious "Patrick Larkin". What a lark! Very strange things happen in this world. (My speculations could be wrong, of course.) I learn from another YouTube video that:

Heartbreaking. Tragically pathetic humor. Aristotle wrote that tragedy has a more powerful and lasting impact than comedy. I don't know if that is true. I suspect that My writing often sounds like comedy to My readers. I just cannot write "tragedy", perhaps because I am always "high" (sans intake of psychedelic drugs) and I never feel tragic. She keeps on saying Anchor series, Anchor series. I guess there must be thousands of excellent books of fiction wtitten by thousands of excellent authors throughout the world. (She seems to be making a subtle reference to a newbie author who has suddenly become a "best selling" author, standing on the shoulder of a ghost writer a la the famous Newton quote about "standing on the shoulders of giants".) I wish I could record and Anchor podcast interesting excerpts from all the excellent books in the world but at this moment that would be impossible to do even for God in human form but soon the entire human race will become immortal and everything will become possible in the near and distant future. I see that she has also uploaded a YouTube video with a sadly humorous title:

The name of an individual gives no clue to an individual's true nature. Someone who is called "Joseph" may be a good guy or a bad guy. PEP TALK 

I would advise ambitious authortube girls on YouTube like Camille Myrick not to be upset by the comparatively small number of views (e.g. 27 views) and subscribers (e.g. 720 subscribers) in comparison with 30,000 or 40,000 etc. of some authortube girls. Camille should shake off her feeling of inferiority complex caused by numbers by constantly remembering that numbers can be inflated by hackers to hundreds of thousands (lakhs) or "millions" - and vice versa made very low - by special naughty software. This is not to say that ALL high numbers of viewers and subscribers on YouTube are fake, but jealous or naughty hackers can REDUCE the numbers to have CRUEL FUN at the expense of some poor sensitive innocent authortuber. REFUSE TO BE INFLUENCED BY NUMBERS, high or low. We don't think of Shakespeare as a "best-selling" author. I have never wanted to find out HOW MANY "hits" My Blogger blog posts and My Anchor podcasts get every day - billions or zero, I don't care. I speak the truth and nothing but the truth. End of pep talk. 100% GENUINE pep talk. Level playing field for all. Thanks. (Many NEW authors suddenly become "famous" "best-selling" authors of books that are in fact written by anonymous ghost writers employed and paid by the publishers, the putative authors often being paid a very tiny commission by the smart publishers.)
