Dr. Vandana Shiva, Indian physicist, philosopher and feminist, who looks young and s., is associated with the Chipuk movement [chipuk = "to hug", I learned from her discussion in the second YouTube video]. She married "scientist" Jayanta Bandopadhyaya but afterwards got divorced. Jayanta B. now calls her a "fraud" but to Me she seems genuine. She took her B.Sc. physics degree from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and Masters in philosophy of science and Ph.D. in philosophy of physics from Canadian universities. She did interdisciplinary research in IISc (Indian Institute of Science) and in IIM (Indian Institute of Management) in Bangalore. Dr. Vandana Shiva is a councilor of the World Future Council (!!). She has participated in the Stock Exchange of Visions (O My Gosh!). For 30 years, she has been preserving seeds and strongly advocating organic farming. She serves on Government of India Committees on Organic Farming. (I have omitted extraneous matters like her custody battle in the Supreme Court about which information is sorely lacking.) I have arranged for readability some biographical info about Dr. Vandana Shiva wbich I got from Google sources. I have tried to avoid inserting sarcastic comments which are usually a special feature of My style. I believe that One should try to be serious on serious occasions. Irrelevant humour/humor would be out of place in a piece of writing or talk that is intended to be scholarly and informative.
