Interesting science fiction story "মানবী" by top Bengali science fiction writer Humayun Ahmed হুমায়ূন আহমেদ (audio of parts ১/৫ and ৫/৫ on YouTube, read aloud in a sweet female voice) - the main themes seem to Me to be (1) surrogate motherhood (2) extinction of evil Nazis (3) the rescuing of ALL sweet s. females from inside Earth etc. by God. I have found that this interesting REALISTIC "science fiction" story is not in "সায়েন্স ফিকশন সমগ্র" by হুমায়ূন আহমেদ (I have a copy of that book), so I conclude that it must be a more recent "science fiction" story (a realistic story).

I suspect that "Adam" and his gang and Lucifer/Satan and his gang have mutually CHEATED and RAPED and TORTURED one another for billions of years and turned Earth into HELL. What is the remedy? আজ কাকিমা আমায় অদ্ভুতভাবে গায়ে মাথায় হাত বুলিয়ে আদর করলেন । বললেন, 'তুই কিন্তু আমাদের বাড়ি এসেও তোর পিএইচডি-র পড়া করতে পারিস । এখানে তোর কোনও অসুবিধে হবে না । বরং তাড়াতাড়ি এলে সংসারটা গুছিয়ে নিতে পারবি । তুই বললে আমি তোর বাবা-মায়ের সঙ্গে কথা বলব । আমিই চলে যাব একদিন । দেখ আমি খুব খারাপ শাশুড়ি হব না । (p. ১৪৬-১৪৭)

জিতেন বোস বললেন, 'তুমি শুনলাম নেট কোয়ালিফাই করেছ । রিসার্চ ফেলোশিপ পেয়েছ । তুমি কি পাগল । রিসার্চ না করে এই সামান্য চাকরি করতে এসেছ? তুমি ফেলোশিপ পাবে । এ চাকরি কেউ করে?'

'আমি করছি স্যার ।'

'আমার সেটাই প্রশ্ন, কেন এই চাকরি করছ?'

'আমার হঠাৎ কেন জানি না ইচ্ছে করল - !'

'কী ইচ্ছে করল?'

'আমার বাবা কীভাবে চাকরি করত - আমার বাবা কীভাবে অপমান সইত - সেটা দেখার?' 

বোস সাহেব মাথা ঝাঁকান । 'এটা কোনও দেখার মতো জিনিস হল? যে যার কর্মফল ভোগ করে । তা তোমার এই অ্যাবসার্ড ইচ্ছের কথা তোমার মাকে বলেছিলে?'

'না । শুধু চাকরি করব বলেছিলাম ।'

'আমার মনে হয় তোমার আবার রিসার্চের জন্যে মেন্টাল প্রিপারেশন নেওয়া উচিত । সেটাই করা উচিত ।' (p. ১৭৭)

'তোমার প্রবলেমটা বলার পর বিষয়টা মাথার ভেতর কেমন যেন ঘুরপাক খায়... ।'

'এমন করে ভাববেন না স্যার আপনার শরীর খারাপ হবে ।'

'শরীর তো খারাপ হয়েছে অনল, প্রেশার কত জানো? ওপরে ২২০ । হাইপ্রেশার । অথচ কদিন আগেও আমার সবকিছু নরমাল ছিল । ডাক্তার বলছে টেনশন । অ্যাংজাইটি । লাস্ট থ্রি ডেজ নাইটে ঘুমই হচ্ছে না ।'

'কেন স্যার আপনি কি আলো জ্বলে ঘুমান? অন্ধকারে কি ভয় করে আপনার?'

'না, না, ভয় করবে কেন? কিন্তু তোমার কথাটা আমার মাথায় ভেতরে এমনভাবে ঘুরপাক খায় যে... ।' (p. ১৭৯)

বোস সাহেব কথা শেষ করে আমার দিকে তাকান । খুব ধীরে ধীরে গলা ভারী করে বলেন, 'কাল কিন্তু কোনও অবস্থাতেই অ্যাবসেন্ট হবে না । হ্যাঁ তুমি যেন কী বলবে বলে আমার ঘরে এসেছিলে?' 

আমি ফিসফিস করলাম, বললাম, 'আমিও স্যার তাই বলছিলাম কাহিনিটা এবার শেষ করতে হবে । অঙ্ক মিলে যাচ্ছে । প্রবলেম সলভড !' (p. ১৮১)
