Many years ago, I read a Google source about a cult all of whose members believe that having s. without thought of procreation is the highest form of love. I am not sure whether such a unique cult really exists and if so how many members belong to this cult.

Matrimonial advertisements 

Matrimonial advertisements are a popular feature of modern life and form the common basis in India for the contact of the two sexes. There is, however, a halo of notoriety about these insertions, because these are manipulated by professional brides and bridegrooms for making easy money rather than for the genuine purpose of contacting a likely partner. Therefore, if you want to use them as a medium, you should be careful lest you run into legal or financial troubles for which you have not bargained. While replying use every word carefully and while personally contacting use your sense with diligence. There are some genuine cases which are worthy if you have the patience to pursue them with an understanding and caution so as to avoid any rattraps. 

Usually a person who claims to be very rich and very handsome, having estates or a gazetted post, should be treated touchily. Such persons, if they were out to find a suitable partner, won't have the need to advertise. They can find a decent partner in normal society. I have known many assistants in Government of India posing as gazetted officers. All they want is money plus enjoyment until a new victim can be traced. Many fathers advertise as bachelors who haven't yet met a girl. So you have to be cautious. 

The genuine advertisers do not boast. They state their financial position modestly. They are usually widows or widowers or middle class people in a genuine search for a partner.
