How about if you [You] can relieve a patient [excessively amorous s. female patient "dying" for Him] of his [her] suffering [illicit longing] in a fraction of a second? ** Might seem unrealistic, but this is what this story is all about. The feeling is nothing less than magical and it is moments like this which reinforces our faith (as well as of the patient!) in modern medicine [in God].

Union Bank of India? - NOT JUST BOOKS (which is richly stocked with books of fiction in English by Indian and foreign authors and also stocks dictionaries and children's books; the owner is a very polite young guy who runs the bookstore; very occasionally - once in a blue moon - his polite young wife comes to help him; NOT JUST BOOKS also sells hot coffee if you want; it is 5-6 minutes' walk from My house or 1-2 minutes by rickshaw; however, this does NOT mean I am "inviting" everyone (...) to My house - nyet! (Russian for NO) - everyone (...) will be hurt by My excessively polite and cool and unemotional Robot-like behaviour/behavior. - G)

কি এমন "মহা" আছে আমি বুঝি না - আছে বৈকি ... মহা cheating ... মহা ধোঁকাবাজি ... মহা পাগলামি ... মহা মাথা খারাপ ।

খুব ভালো

দুজনে দেখা দীর্ঘদিন পরে । কথা হচ্ছে ।

'অমরনাথ ঘুরে এলুম ।'

'হে হে, খুব ভালো ।'

'মেয়েটার বিয়ে দিয়ে দিলুম ।'

'হে হে, খুব ভালো ।'

'ছেলেটা বিলেত গেল ।'

'হে হে, খুব ভালো ।'

'মা হঠাৎ মারা গেলেন ।'

'হে হে, খুব ভালো ।'

সবই ভালো । আজকাল কেউ কারুর কথা মন দিয়ে শোনে না । ভদ্রতার খাতিরে হে হে করে যায় । যান্ত্রিক হাসি । যান্ত্রিক বিস্ময় ।

মেয়েরা যদি বা প্রাণখুলে হাসেন [হাসে], মেয়েদের বিস্ময় ও সহানুভূতি প্রকাশের ঘনঘটায় প্রাণ আছে কিনা বোঝা দায় ।

'শ্যামা ডিভোর্স করেছে ।'

'ওমা, তাই না কি, বলিস কি?'

'রমাদির ছেলে এবারেও পাশ করতে পারে নি ।'

'ওমা, তাই না কি, বলিস কি?'

'শ্যামলকে খুঁজে পাওয়া যাচ্ছে না ।'

'ওমা, তাই না কি, বলিস কি?'

মাঝরাতে স্বামী বললে, 'গোপা, বুকে অসহ্য ব্যথা । আমি বোধহয় মরে যাচ্ছি ।'

'ওমা, তাই না কি, বলো কি?'

ভোরবেলা 'মেকানিক্যাল টি' । 'ওঠো চা ।'

কে উঠবে ! ফাঁকি দিয়ে প্রাণের পাখি উড়ে গেল আর এল না । পাশের বাড়ির প্রতিবেশী শুনে বলবেন, 'ওমা, তাই না কি ! মারা গেছে । দাঁড়াও, ডালে জল ঢেলে এসে শুনছি ।'

Assam Government releases Rs 1 crore fund for ‘Village Rockstars’ promotion

Assam government on Thursday released Rs one crore for promotion of coming-of-age musical drama film “Village Rockstars” which has been selected as India’s official entry to the Oscar 2019 under the Best Foreign Language category.

The government had earlier sanctioned Rs 50 lakh which was decided after a cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal.

Writer-director of the acclaimed film Rima Das wrote in a Facebook post after this laudable step by Assam Government, “My sincere GRATITUDE to the Govt of Assam, all the Cabinet Ministers, Govt officials, Dept of Cultural Affairs for wholeheartedly coming forward to help us promote Village Rockstars at the Oscars. Upon receiving the funds today, I realise that this contribution from Assam Govt will give a definite boost to our journey.
