BLIND, DEAF, DUMB

Blind, deaf, and dumb Helen Keller became famous (I don't know she became famous for exactly what - perhaps for becoming a success IN SPITE OF being blind AND deaf AND dumb) but I have a strong suspicion that she was neither blind nor deaf nor dumb but was just being theatrical and if My speculation is correct then Helen Keller could have been a combination of Helen of Troy who caused the Trojan War and Killer for Keller. Her full name was Helen Adams Keller.

Dhritarashtra probably feigned blindness to spy on his wife.

If a guy has normal-looking eyes (if the eyes are not missing for whatever reason), no one can be sure if the guy is really blind if the guy pretends to be blind. Similarly, no one can be sure if a guy is really deaf or dumb or both if the guy pretends to be deaf or dumb or both. Just wearing dark glasses does not prove that a guy is blind. And saying that a singer etc. is blind does not prove that the singer etc. is blind if the guy has eyes that look normal.

I have heard that deafness AND dumbness go together. Therefore, a deaf guy cannot complain (because the guy is ALSO dumb) that the FAKE "sign language for the DEAF" used by moving the fingers as in DD news etc. is comical nonsense.
