The SAME wonderful advice is true for EVERY exam, for EVERY competition in life, literal or metaphoric. To succeed in life's many exams, literal or metaphoric, One MUST prepare well. THAT is the MAGIC mantra: PREPARE WELL! (I WOULD ALSO ADD: "BE ETHICAL. DON'T CHEAT." I am A Firm Believer in absolute honesty. However, I know that unfortunately there is A SHOCKING DIFFERENCE between One and one.)
