I have posted this comment on "Arundhati Roy discusses The God of Small Things on Book Club"/Roygroupie (28:21) [BBC radio interview]:

Zeenath Muna (4 years ago) exclaims ecstatically in amazement and wonder: "Such craftiness of language" etc. etc. Craftiness?!! Craft or "craftiness"? Crafty has the very unpleasant connotation of being cunning, foxy. Arundhati hardly looks the cunning type. She may be an annoying pain in the ass for some politicians but I don't think she is cunning or foxy. If anything, she seems TOO angry and TOO blunt and TOO outspoken. Why does she have to vent her spleen when God has already eliminated Satan/Kr. and is taking care of the whole world? She should try to concentrate on writing new novels, or if rejection slips keep [on] coming, FORGET ABOUT writing f. "bestsellers" or winning f. "prizes" and instead start writing a BLOG like Me! I saw a Nazi criminal of a European country being interviewed on BBC a few months ago who was a traitor to his country and was a Nazi sympathiser and fifth columnist who betrayed his country during World War II and looked EXACTLY like Salman Rushdie. I am sure that the two are CLONES. I also remember that Salman Rushdie instigated communal RIOTS throughout Europe with an INFLAMMATORY BOOK and HAS BEEN ON THE RUN ever since, afraid of violent assassination at any moment. - G
